I do know that there was an answer waiting for me the next day. I wasn't watching my inbox as frequently so I don't know how long it took exactly. On another occasion I emailed Acton with a question about their app. Since it was brand new I wanted to just start over with a new board and no problems. From Acton I received a prepaid shipping label and from Shopdivvey I was offered a replacement. Both the reseller and Acton responded within hours with their own solutions. My first board died 2 minutes into my first ride. It was the reseller they pointed us to on their Facebook page and the only place that had them on sale. I bought a Blink Lite shortly after release from their eBay reseller Shopdivvy. I know this may not help to those already struggling with Acton customer service but I also had a positive experience with Acton Customer Service. Don't get hyped like I did, it is not worth it at all. As a Canadian, I'll get the snow before the belts. I now have a skateboard size paperweight at home taking dust. The thing is half functional, will break and they wont care. Even worst than Microsoft telling me my 200$ Elite controller only has a 90 days warranty.ĭon't buy from them. This has been the worst support I have ever gotten. Sep 14, Me: Really? Is this a joke, still nothing? Sep 7, Ac: Belts are 30$ + 24$ shipping, you get 4 belts and we're getting you the invoice now. If you can break it for the bad, can't you just break it for the good? Or just get me to buy those damn belts. Sep 7, Me: Pretty sure it's not company policy to respond so slowly. Aug 29, Me: All right, how many belts do I get and how will you process the payment? Sep 5, Me: Hello anyone? At this point can't you just gift them to me? Sep 6, Ac: Yeah we can't do that, company policy. Aug 27, Me: Any news for me? Aug 29, Ac: Costs 24$ to ship. Aug 22, Me: Thanks, I'll wait for your email. here's how the exchange went.Īug 21, Me: Where can I get the belts? Aug 22, Ac: We can ship to Canada, but you'll have to pay for shipping. I got in touch with their support the 21st of August. They sell the board in Canada, they mention in the manual that it is a regular maintenance to change the belts, yet they don't sell it anywhere. No where throughout the internet do they sell the belts in Canada. The board though? The belt got destroyed the cogs ate it up. My arm got opened a bit, white and blood, but I'm fine. But, I'm an easy guy, I looked passed it.Ībout a month ago I got into an accident with my Blink. And as for the remote disconnecting randomly? I just bring the remote closer to the board give it a couple of seconds and it would reconnect as it would decelerate.īad? Sure. The sudden changes in speed and braking are rough, but I managed to get used to them. The remote feels extremely finicky and fragile, but the for the price I looked passed it. I read online some issues with the poor remote quality, sudden change of speeds and braking and constant disconnection from the remote. I really loved the price and the size of the board. I bought from Wellbots in Canada an Acton Blink board for my transportation need. TL DR: Acton will sell you broken products and offer zero customer service. This is not the sort of posts I like to do, in fact I don't really post a lot from Reddit, but it is something I really need to share.
